These are shots from the Mount Snow Mountain Biking School - trips in 2004 and 2004.  Mount Snow has two major biking areas - a cross-country area at the base of the mountain about a mile away from the base lodge, and the downhill trails on the mountain itself.  The base trails are mostly twisty singletrack with lots of tree roots.  Their most significant feature, though, is MUD - lots and lots of it.  Make sure you have the knobby tired on or you'll get stuck out there.

The downhills off of the ski lift are, as you'd expect, quite challenging.  Lots of tree roots and steep dropoffs, along with the pipes for the snowmaking equipment.  Wet, too.  You have to hit everything perpendicularly or your wheel will slip sideway and you'll find yourself on the ground.  There are some extremely rocky downhills, but I didn't see them.  I did great through the woods but wiped out on a rocky hill out on the open slope.

The trail that dumped me - I fell about 2/3 of the way down.  Made it past the really big rocks but not the small ones.
