The Freedom Skate has always been the premiere multi-day recreational skating event in the world.  First established in 1996, it attracts about 400 attendees from across the country and several foreign countries.  Skates are organized for all three days of the weekend, and a skater participating in all events would skate almost 75 miles in the weekend.
